ANDRE LACERDA
RESEARCH & PHOTOGRAPHY
I am a Forest Ecologist and a macro photographer enthusiast. My areas of expertise include ecology, forest restoration, agroecology and agroforestry, biodiversity and community-based research.
My passion for botany and nature has inspired me to undertake a plant photography project, highlighting the beauty and complexity of flora through detailed and artistic imagery, particularly through macro-photography techniques that reveal intricate details beyond the reach of the naked eye

My research program takes a multidisciplinary approach to improve our understanding of forest communities, develop sustainable silvicultural and forest restoration practices, and engage small-scale farmers and communities in forest and environmental stewardship.
Here I present a comprehensive list of scientific and technical publications and videos as a result of over 30 years of experience as a Forest Ecologist.

I have been photographing plants from different parts of the world. Most plants were recorded using macro and extreme macro photography as a part of a long-term personal project to create a digital catalog of high-quality and detailed pictures of plants.
